McCamey’s County Park (on West 11th Avenue, open year-round) holds playground, grills, horseshoe pits, both sheltered & open picnic areas, and plenty of shady trees.
Next to County Park is McCamey’s Public Pool (open May to September), and Skate Park BOTH FREE to residents and visitors. McCamey Skate Park has two half-pipes, ramps, stairs and rails where skaters can hone their carving, sliding and freestyle skills.
McCamey’s little “pocket park” is rightly-named Serenity (5th and Burleson). Gazebo, trees, paved paths and water feature. Enjoy the native West Texas garden and surrounding murals, or have an impromptu picnic in the grass, right off of our “Main Street”. A popular place for wedding and graduation photography. Also the host to two annual events, Santa in the Square and Tree-Lighting.
McCamey’s beautiful tree-lined Santa Fe Park (off Hwy 67, on Santa Fe St.) is the location of our annual Wind Energy Capital of Texas Cook-Off & Festival. Large covered pavilion, the Depot stage, bathroom facilities, BBQ pits, ample parking, green space and large shady picnicking area (away from busy streets) Reserve the Santa Fe Depot through City Hall for family gatherings & events. RV Sites (electric/water hookups) can be arranged for special events.
